San Francisco Police Make Arrest in North Beach Stabbing 19-073
On May 3, 2019 at approximately 10:44AM, San Francisco Police officers from Central Police Station responded to a reported stabbing at Columbus Avenue and Mason Street. Upon arrival they located the victim, a 59 year-old male who was suffering from an apparent stab wound to the back. Officers summoned an ambulance and the victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was treated and later released.
Following the unprovoked attack, the suspect fled the scene.
The Central Station Investigations Team (SIT) began in investigation that led to the identity of the suspect. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant from the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office.
On May 24, 2019 at approximately 12:20 PM members of the Bayview Police Station plainclothes team and investigators from Central Police Station served a search warrant on the 1100 block of Silva Lane in the City of Alameda. The suspect, 35 year-old Pablo Garcia was taken into custody and later booked into the Alameda County Jail on the warrant charge of attempted murder.
