REWARD $10,000.00 The Office of the Mayor has authorized a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) responsible for the murder of Michael Helton. On January 18, 2005, at 9:40 in the evening, Mr. Helton was shot and killed while sitting in the passenger seat of a GMC van in the 500 block of Alemany Street. The suspect is described as a dark skinned African-American male, heavy set, and wearing his hair in braids. Suspects fled the scene in a maroon 2000 model van with tinted windows.
