SFPD Seeks Public’s Assistance in Locating Duboce Triangle Assault Suspects

On February 23, 2016, at 10:30 PM, a local couple was beaten on the 100 block of Sanchez Street. The male victim suffered a broken leg and the female victim suffered traumatic brain injury. Video was located at 100 block of Sanchez Street. Due to poor lighting, the video is very grainy. The video shows the suspect verbally engaged the victims and then hit the male victim in the face knocking him to the sidewalk. The female went to intervene and was hit several times in the head knocking her to the sidewalk where she hit her head. She spent many days in the hospital and still has trauma. The primary suspect was the only person who engaged the victims and participated in the assault. The other three stood by and watched. They all ran away together. The initial encounter started off with a sexual comment to the female, though no sexual assault was committed or attempted. One of the 4 males was believed to be wearing chef’s pants.

The male victim, who had the best recollection of the incident, participated in a session with a forensic artist. Attached is the result. The depiction of the suspect has been sent to all sworn member of the police department and U.C. Police. Investigators are following up on potential leads
