Thank You Chief Greg Suhr
The Men and Women of the San Francisco Police Department would like to thank Chief Greg Suhr for his 34 years of dedicated commitment to this Department and to the City of San Francisco. Chief Suhr’s leadership has brought the SFPD further than ever before, with many successful community programs and lasting partnerships that make the city a safer place. Chief Suhr’s commitment to influence the lives of young people was no secret. On his inauguration day, he stated, “I know that there is a kid out there that thinks cops are heroes. I might be the first cop that he or she has ever seen. I owe that kid my best. Every cop does.”
Chief Suhr gave his best for the children, the community, and for the officers under his command. We will honor him by pledging to complete his vision of a department that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve, and one that remains committed to addressing crime, violence, and quality-of- life issues. With the guidance and legacy Chief Suhr has left, together we are prepared to face the challenges ahead.
We wish Chief Suhr the best on his well-deserved retirement.
