SFPD Arrest Two Suspects in the $500,000 Jewelry Store Heist

 

On June 23, 2016 at 3:44 AM, two suspects entered a jewelry store on the 100 block of O’Farrell Street in the City’s Union Square neighborhood and stole jewelry valued at over $500,000.  Surveillance photos and video show the suspects, entering the parking garage, and one suspect entering the store and loading jewelry cases into a duffel bag before escaping with the merchandise. 

The San Francisco Police Department has identified and arrested the two suspects seen on video, thanks to the help of our Patrol Officers who recognized them from the video surveillance images captured at the scene. Officers recovered some of the stolen property during the arrest.

On June 28, 2016 at 12:00 PM SFPD Central Police Station Investigators arrested: Andreaus Trevell Garrett, 24 years old, San Francisco resident for 2nd Degree Burglary, Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Conspiracy, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Carrying a Loaded Firearm. SFPD also arrested: Carlnell McKinley Pitts, 27 year old, San Francisco resident for 2nd Degree Burglary, Grand Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Conspiracy.
