San Francisco Police Arrest Suspect from August 23rd Incident at Market and Seventh Street

San Francisco Police Department Homicide Investigators have arrested San Francisco County resident, Anthony Jones, in connection with an August 23rd, 2016 assault of Evaristo Rocha-Rodriguez. The incident occurred at approximately 12:55 AM near 7th Street and Market and resulted in the death of Rocha-Rodriguez on September 13th from his injuries, which included blunt force head trauma.

The SFPD Homicide Detail developed leads which led them to the identification of 31 year old Anthony Jones. He was taken into custody on September 29th, 2016 at 4:03 PM, at Market Street and Jones Street by Tenderloin Police Station officers. Jones was booked into San Francisco County jail for voluntary manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, and a probation violation.
