SFPD Make Arrest in Mission District Homicide (17-084)

On May 29, 2017, at 1:11 AM San Francisco Police officers responded to 1300 block of Treat Street in the Mission District regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, Aaron Johnson, forty-five years old, San Francisco resident, suffering from a severe stab wound. San Francisco Fire Department paramedics responded and rendered aid, but unfortunately Johnson succumbed to his injuries at San Francisco General Hospital. 

Based on information and evidence immediately obtained at the scene, Mission Station officers located and detained a possible suspect on the 1300 block of Treat Street. San Francisco Police Homicide Investigators were notified and commenced an investigation. At the conclusion of an interview with the detainee, it was determined this individual was responsible for Johnson’s murder. The suspect was identified as Lyris Wolfe, 52 years old, San Francisco resident, and she was booked into San Francisco County Jail on felony charges of murder, two counts of assault with deadly weapon, and two counts of threats.

Due to pending identification matters, Wolfe’s booking photos will not be released at this time.
