Jewelry Store Robbery Arrest (17-123)
On Tuesday, August 8th at approximately 9:15AM, a jewelry store robbery occurred in the Northern Police District. The suspects forced their way into the business and held employees at gunpoint demanding high-end jewelry. The victims were held hostage while the suspects stole merchandise.
The suspects fled the scene in a waiting vehicle. Officers and investigators from Northern Station responded to the scene and quickly gathered information and evidence. Due to keen observation by patrol officers, the getaway vehicle was located unoccupied several blocks away.
Officers and Investigators from Northern Station, Central Station, Special Investigations Division, Gang Task Force, and Patrol Bureau Task Force assisted with the case.
On Tuesday, August 15 three arrests were made and search warrants were served in San Francisco and Oakland, California. During these searches, officers seized evidence related to the jewelry store robbery and a firearm that was reported stolen from San Francisco.
The case was presented to the San Francisco District Attorney’s office and the following persons have been charged related to this violent crime:
- Michael Alexis, 52 year-old Oakland resident
- Marshall Harris, 53 year-old San Francisco resident
- Ray Hall, 60 year-old San Francisco resident
All three suspects were charged for Robbery, Elder Abuse, and Kidnapping. Alexis was also charged for Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
