SFPD Make Arrests in Commercial Robbery Investigation, Seeking Three Outstanding Suspects 18-041

On February 6, 2018, nine suspects entered a high-end fashion establishment on the 100 block of Geary Street in San Francisco. Within seconds, the suspects selected over twenty (20) handbags and wallets from the display area and attempted to flee the store. An employee recognized the snatch and grab tactics of the group, immediately ran to the point of entry/exit, and attempted to close the door in an effort to prevent the loss of merchandise. The employee’s attempt at preventing their escape was unsuccessful. He was rushed by the group, and overwhelmed with such force that he sustained an injury to his knee. The assailants fled with over $48,000.00 worth of merchandise.

An investigation into the incident was launched by SFPD’s Robbery Detail. Utilizing the store's security surveillance system and other resources within in the Union Square area. Mission Station Housing Units and Gang Task Force arrested two of the wanted suspects. Arrest warrants were obtained, which led to the arrests of four additional suspects. The following individuals have been arrested in relation to this investigation:

Shanique Kyer, 25 years old, San Francisco resident, booked into San Francisco County Jail on felony charges of robbery, grand theft, and a misdemeanor charge of providing false identification to a police officer. Kyer’s booking photo accompanies this news release.

Sharome Jones, 21 years old, San Francisco resident, booked into San Francisco County Jail on felony charges of robbery and grand theft. Jones’ booking photo accompanies this news release.

Joshua Washington, 18 years old, San Francisco resident, booked into San Francisco County Jail on felony charges of robbery and grand theft. Washington’s booking photo accompanies this news release.

Three juveniles were also arrested for this crime, on felony charges of robbery and grand theft.

San Francisco Police investigators are still seeking outstanding suspects wanted in this crime.

One suspect has been identified as Keyonna Kyer, female, 21 years old, approximately 5’6”, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Attached to this news release is a prior booking photo of Keyonna.
