SFPD Narcotics Unit Arrests Known Drug Trafficker 24-153

On Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, members assigned to the San Francisco Narcotics Unit along with San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Army National Guard conducted a search warrant service on a known wanted federal fugitive, Fernando Hernandez, who was believed to be selling narcotics in the city and county of San Francisco.

The Narcotics Unit officers developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for Hernandez, including vehicles and premises located in Oakland, California that were associated with Hernandez.

At approximately 9:45 p.m., officers positioned themselves near the area of Church Street in Oakland, CA. Hernandez exited the premises and was detained in the area of Arthur Ave and 68th Ave by officers without further incident.

With the assistance of Officer Montero and K9 Copper, the Narcotics unit conducted a search of the premise located on Church Street in Oakland, CA where they located and seized approximately 5 kilograms of suspected Fentanyl, two press machines, over 10,000 dollars in US currency and narcotics manufacturing equipment.

Officers transported and booked 26-year-old Fernando Hernandez into San Francisco County Jail for his arrest warrant.
