The Arrest yields multiple firearms and a large amount of narcotics seized

Over the course of the past four months, members of the SFPD Narcotics Unit and the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into a subject that was reported to be dealing in a high volume of narcotics in and around the Tenderloin neighborhood and the greater San Francisco area. The subject was utilizing a vehicle and was known to possess firearms.

During the investigation, the Narcotics officers learned that the subject had an active and outstanding warrant out of the City and County of San Francisco.  Officers developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the subject, his residence, and the vehicle.

On October 8, 2024, at approximately 11:24 p.m., the SFPD Narcotics Unit, with the assistance from the Tenderloin Plainclothes Unit, San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, and Special Agents from Drug Force Administration (DEA) observed the subject, 24-year-old male German Alfred Colindres Estrada of Oakland and another male, 22-year-old male Jose Colindres Erazo, park the vehicle in the area of 11th and Howard Streets.  Both subjects were detained on foot in the area of 11th and Mission Streets by Uniformed Tenderloin officers without incident.

At the scene, SFPD K-9 “Cooper” alerted to a backpack containing illegal narcotics that belonged to Estrada. A search of Estrada’s vehicle yielded a concealed loaded semi-automatic pistol.

During the search of Estrada’s residence in Oakland, officers found a large hydraulic press, multiple press plates, evidence of cutting agents used to increase the volume of produced narcotics, approximately $45,000 in U.S. currency, and large amounts of suspect narcotics.  Officers seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, various prescription pills, and cocaine totaling more than 1,330 grams as well as ammunition and many disassembled firearms.

Estrada and Erazo were transported and booked into San Francisco County Jail.  Estrada was booked on the charges of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place or vehicle (25850(a) PC), carrying a concealed firearm (25400(a) PC), prohibits convicted felons or persons with active felony warrants from owning purchasing or possessing firearms (29800(a)(1) PC, 2 counts of possession for sale of a controlled substance (11351 H&S), transporting a controlled substance (11352(a) H&S), possession for sale or purchases for purposes of sale cocaine base (11351.5 H&S), possession of methamphetamine for sale (11378 H&S), criminal conspiracy (182(a)(1) PC), and committing a felony while on bail or release (12022.1(a)PC).

Erazo was booked on the charges of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place or vehicle (25850(a) PC), carrying a concealed firearm (25400(a) PC), 2 counts of possession for sale of a controlled substance (11351 H&S), possession of methamphetamine for sale (11378 H&S), possession for sale or purchases for purposes of sale cocaine base (11351.5 H&S), transporting a controlled substance (11352(a) H&S) and criminal conspiracy (182(a)(1) PC).

The SFPD will continue to prioritize efforts to address the drug crisis in our city by holding individuals who sell illegal narcotics accountable.

Although arrests have been made, this is an open and active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
