$50,000 REWARD The Office of the Mayor has authorized a $50,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect responsible for the death of Gilbert Novoa HOMICIDE SUSPECT On Monday, February 23, 2004, at approximately 5:15 AM, Gilbert Novoa was standing on the corner of 27th and Guerrero Streets waiting for a ride to work. An unknown suspect ( shown in the sketch above) approached Mr. Novoa and a violent struggle ensued in which Mr. Novoa was stabbed numerous times. The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene east on 27th Street and then south on San Jose Avenue.
