San Francisco Police Officers Make Arrest in Kidnapping and an Attempted Rape of an Elderly Woman 20-107

On Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at approximately 6:50 AM, a 73-year-old woman was the victim of six crimes including Attempted Rape. The victim was on the 1300 block of 7th Avenue when she was attacked by a suspect later identified as 34-year-old Daniel Williams.

Park Station Officers responded to the 1300 block of 7th avenue for a report of an individual digging through trash. Officers arrived on scene and quickly learned that Daniel Williams attempted to rape the victim. Daniel Williams fled the scene on foot. Officers pursued and were able to take Daniel Williams into custody without further incident.

Further investigation revealed that Daniel Williams had committed additional crimes against the Victim and was ultimately charged with 209(b)(1) PC (aggravated kidnapping), 220 PC (assault with the intent to commit a felony), 263 PC (false imprisonment), 422 PC (criminal threats), 368(b)(1) PC (elder abuse), 234.4 PC (sexual battery), and 148.9 PC (false identification to a police officer).
