SFPD Make Arrests in Attempted Homicide And Stabbing Incident 19-065
On May 10th 2019, officers responded to the 300 block of The Embarcadero regarding a possible shooting and stabbing call. Officers observed a male victim on the ground bleeding from his stomach from an apparent gunshot wound and a female victim sitting nearby with a stab wound to the hand. Medical personnel arrived and transported both victims to the hospital. The female victim was listed in non-life threatening condition and the male victim was listed in life-threatening condition.
Officers learned that the male and female victims were arguing with the male victim’s ex- girlfriend, who was later identified as 28 year-old San Francisco resident Leola Isaacson. Witnesses stated that Isaacson pulled out an edged weapon and stabbed the female victim in the hand. A witness stated that an unknown male suspect, later identified as 39 year-old transient Nick Shaw, shot the male victim in the stomach before fleeing the scene.
Based on an investigation into the incident, Leola Isaacson was taken into custody on May 11th 2019 at San Francisco General Hospital. Isaacson was booked at San Francisco County Jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On May 16 2019 at approximately 7:30PM, officers responded to the area of Delancey Street between Federal Street and Beale Street. The investigation led officers to believe that Shaw was hiding underneath the Bryant Street overpass.
Shaw was observed by officers, taken into custody without incident and booked at the San Francisco County Jail on charges of attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
