Burglary, Arrest

A witness observed a suspect “jimmy” the front door of the apartment building and proceed to the apartment’s bicycle storage area and check which bicycles were locked. Witness called 911 and the suspect attempted to flee. The witness chased the suspect, who stopped and pulled out a knife. The witness was concerned for his safety so he grabbed the suspect’s arm and wrestled the suspect to the ground. Responding officers placed the suspect in handcuffs and searched him, locating a knife and a screwdriver. The suspect was on parole from the CDC for burglary. The suspect was arrested and booked at County Jail on the following charges: Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon
