Suspects in Multiple Victim Shooting in Tenderloin Arrested in Emeryville

On March 24, 2014 in the late afternoon, San Francisco Police Investigators from our Criminal Investigation Unit, worked with Emeryville Police Department and successfully took Curtis Warren, 25 years old and Verle Jones, 24 years old, both San Francisco residents, into custody in Emeryville.

Warren and Jones were transported back to San Francisco where they were booked on 8 counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy. The vehicle involved in the shooting was recovered and no weapons have been found at this time. This investigation is still ongoing.

In this incident, San Francisco Police Department officers investigated a shooting that occurred on March 23rd, 2014 at approximately 8:52PM in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. Preliminary information revealed that a silver Volkswagen Jetta occupied by two people were responsible for firing several gunshots at a group of individuals standing on the sidewalk at Turk and Taylor streets. Eight victims suffered gunshot wounds as a result of the shooting.
