Bayview Station Newsletter - February 07, 2018

On February 6th, SFPD released it's 4th Quarter Use of Force, Arrest and Police Encounters Report for 2017. The report highlights a significant decrease in use of force incidents and assaults on officers during this time period as compared to the previous year.
The data shows a 33% decrease in reportable uses of force and a 12% decrease in assaults on San Francisco Police officers in comparison to the fourth quarter of 2016. Year to date, the department saw an 18% decrease in uses of force compared to 2016.
