Bayview Station Newsletter - March 28, 2018

Easter is around the corner and with it comes a long break that many families have come to enjoy and take the opportunity to get away. During this time there can be an uptick in burglaries and thefts due to the larger than usual amount of empty schools, homes and buildings.

My officers will have this in mind when patrolling but I would like you to know how important it is for neighbors to look out for each other as well. If you are leaving for the week, let a trusted neighbor know to keep an eye out for your home and to pick up mail so it does not pile up. Some audible alarms are not monitored by a security company. If you here an alarm go off on a building, call it in. Residents and businesses interacting and actively engaging one another is a powerful tool in creating a safe neighborhood and community.
