SFPD Make Arrest in 'Suitcase with Human Remains' Incident

Yesterday evening, police received a call from our anonymous tip line that the person of interest in the 11th Street suitcase incident was currently at the 400 block of Turk Street. Police immediately responded to the area and detained two individuals, confirming one was the person of interest released to the public in the afternoon press briefing. These individuals were brought to the Hall of Justice for further investigation.

In the early hours this morning, Homicide investigators arrested the person of interest in relation to this crime. Mark Andrus, 60 years old, white male was booked at County Jail #1 for murder. No booking photo will be released at this time due to pending identification matters.
