SFPD Arrest 2 Suspects in Bayview Stabbing, Attempted Homicide

On March 27, 2015, at approximately 7:00 P.M., San Francisco Police officers in the Bayview Police District responded to the 300 block of Wayland Street regarding a Strong Arm Robbery of a victim who was brutally stabbed several times.

A 66 year old male victim was discovered with stab wounds to his chest, abdomen and wrist. The first arriving officers rendered aid until the victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim is improving, but remains hospitalized with life threatening injuries.

After canvassing the area, officers located two individuals matching the description of the suspects. Based on the suspect description, proximity to the crime, witness statements and physical evidence, both suspects were placed under arrest. A knife was also recovered from one of the suspects.

Deandre Gipson, 18, San Francisco, was booked on Robbery, Attempted Homicide with a knife, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Conspiracy.

A 17 year old male juvenile suspect, a San Francisco resident, was charged with Robbery, Attempted Homicide with a Knife, and Conspiracy.
