Recap: Shooting Incident at Lombard St and Jones St

At 12:09 this afternoon officers responded to the area of Lombard and Jones Street regarding a shooting. While enroute SF Central Station police officers saw a vehicle described in the incident driving at a high rate of speed towards the bay bridge. SFPD pursued the vehicle across the bridge which ultimately stopped on the 1000 block of 60th Street located on the border of Emeryville and Oakland. Suspects described as one Hispanic male and one Black male exited the vehicle in attempt to flee from authorities. One of the suspects were immediately apprehended while the second suspect fled from officers. The vehicle was recovered on 60th Street and outside agencies (CHP, Emeryville PD, & Oakland PD) assisted us in the search.

During the incident it appeared that the victim was a tourist who was walking W/B on Lombard towards Jones Street when he was approached by one of the suspects on foot. The suspect then stole what appeared to be the victims camera and ran E/B on Lombard from Jones Street. The victim gave chase in an attempt to recover his stolen camera. It was at this time when the second suspect who appeared to be driving a dark colored vehicle drove towards the second suspect E/B on Lombard from Jones and shots were fired. The primary suspect then entered the vehicle and fled south at a high rate of speed. The victim was struck in the upper torso, possibly the shoulder and was immediately transported to SFGH pending further treatment.

It wasn't until later the second suspect was later apprehended.
