SFPD Seeks Public's Assistance in Locating Historic Church Relics taken in Brazen Burglary

San Francisco Police is asking for the public’s help in locating several historic Catholic Church relics taken in a brazen burglary.

On September 15, 2015 at approximately 8:00AM, the Victim arrived at a Catholic Church on the 3200 block of Cesar Chavez when he noticed a lock on the rear doors had been cut. The burglar(s) entered via the rear doors and walked towards the altar where a cabinet, also damaged, had several relics taken from it. Inside the cabinet were two 12 inch tall gold chalices, a 10 inch tall silver chalice, and a gold cross with a piece of St. Anthony’s bone embedded in it.
