San Francisco Police are seeking assistance from the public in locating sculptures stolen from a public art exhibition that began on July 22, 2015.

On September 4th promoters noted that three bronze sculptures had been stolen from an art exhibit at the Harry Bridges Plaza in front of the Ferry Building. The sculptures were part of a four piece set that had been contained in a larger bronze cube.

Accomapanying this press release are two photos that show a sculpture identical to the ones stolen. While it is possible that the stolen sculptures may be destined for a pawn shop or collector’s display, it is also possible that they will make their way to a metal recycler. The SFPD is asking for public assistance in sharing the photos and this story so that these cultural pieces can be returned to the exhibit where everyone can enjoy their beauty.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Central Station Investigation Team (SIT) at (415) 345-2400, The Anonymous Tip Line at (415) 575-4444 or Text a Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
