Happy 4th of July! I want to wish all of you a safe celebration during today’s festivities. As a reminder, please note that all fireworks are prohibited within the City and County of San Francisco. If you are planning to watch the fireworks show display tonight, the fireworks will be shot off of barges near Aquatic Park and Pier 39 beginning at 9:30pm.
Public viewing from western shoreline of Treasure Island is not encouraged this year due to island parking and viewing area being extremely limited now due to development construction. The Treasure Island Development Authority (TIDA) encourages visitors to visit the Port of SF and the San Francisco waterfront for fireworks viewing. Please plan for heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the waterfront along the Embarcadero into the Fisherman’s Wharf area due to attending crowds.
