Taraval District Search Warrants and Arrests 20-106

On Friday, September 11, 2020, at approximately 5:00 AM San Francisco Police Department officers from the Taraval Neighborhood Team (TNT), the SFPD Tactical Unit and Specialist Team served two simultaneous search warrants on the 1500 block of Ocean Avenue and 600 block of Holloway Avenue for alleged weapons and narcotics violations. The search warrants resulted in the arrest of an adult male and an adult female.

The search warrants also resulted in the seizure of two firearms, firearm magazine, ammunition, suspected cocaine, suspected methamphetamine, and narcotics paraphernalia. This release includes a photo of seized items.

Officers booked Jamil Tawasha, a 55-year-old male San Francisco resident, for the following felony charges: two counts of convicted felon in possession of a firearm (29800(a)(1) PC), two counts criminal storage of a firearm (25100(b) PC), removing serial numbers from a firearm (23900 PC), convicted felon in possession of ammunition (30305(a)(1) PC), possession of suspected narcotics for sales (11378 H&S), possession of methamphetamine with for sales (11379 H&S), possession of methamphetamine with for sales (11351 H&S), possession of methamphetamine with for sales (11352 H&S), possession of narcotics while armed with a loaded firearm (11370.1(a) H&S), and possession of cannabis for sales (11359(b) H&S).

Officers also booked Melissa Washington, 39-year-old female San Francisco resident, for the following charges: prohibited person from possessing a firearm (30305(a)(1) PC), willful disobedience of a written court order (166(a)(4) PC), and two local arrest warrants.
