Suspects Apprehended in Robbery of Five Juveniles

San Francisco Police arrested three suspects in connection with a strong arm robbery that took place on December 28, 2012. Taken into custody, were Denzel Anderson, 21, of San Francisco, Lazarus Thomas, 21, of Daly City, and Cornelius Taylor, 24, of San Francisco.

The incident occurred on Muni’s 14-Line at 4th Street and Mission Street. The three suspects boarded the bus along with the five juvenile victims. Both the victims and the suspects were seated at the rear of the bus, when the suspects demanded their property. The victims emptied their pockets and were subsequently patted down for additional property before the suspects fled.

The SFPD / Municipal Transportation Agency (MTA) Muni Task Force (MTF) investigated the incident. Officers from the MTF located surveillance video that showed the suspects fleeing the area and splitting up the stolen property, which consisted of cell phones and U.S. Currency.

A crime alert of the incident was issued throughout the Department, and the suspects were recognized by officers from Northern Police Station and the Violence Reduction Team. All three suspects were arrested within days of the incident.
