SFPD Seeking Public's Assistance in Sexual Assault Investigation

The San Francisco Police Department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) is seeking assistance in identifying the suspect from a sexual assault of a juvenile victim.

On September 27, 2015 at 1:45PM, the victim entered the restroom at an SF Public Library on the 1500 block of Scott Street. While in the restroom, the suspect approached the victim and assaulted him. Upon exiting the restroom, the victim alerted his mother who was waiting just outside. The victims’s mother called out for help, but the suspect fled the library on foot, running southbound on Scott Street.

Investigators from SVU are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect. The suspect was described as a white male, 28-32 years of age, 5’08” tall and approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, grey jean shorts was was described as clean shaven at the time of the assault. A forensic sketch of the suspect accompanies this press release
