SFPD is Seeking Public Assistance in Locating Fatal Hit and Run Suspect Vehicle Suspect Driving a Silver or Gray Sedan Struck a 64 Year-old Pedestrian Before Fleeing the Scene 19-022

On February 26, 2019 at approximately 8:07pm, San Francisco police officers responded to California Street and 18th Avenue regarding a hit and run collision. 

Preliminary information indicates that the victim, a 64 year-old female San Francisco resident was crossing California Street at 18thAvenue when she was struck by a motor vehicle.  The driver of the suspect vehicle failed to stop and fled the scene.  The suspect vehicle was last seen traveling northbound on 19th Avenue then eastbound on Lake Street. The victim was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFGH) where she later died.

Investigators from the SFPD Traffic Collison Investigation Unit (TCIU) are searching for a silver or gray sedan with possible front end and windshield damage.

Residents and business owners in the area are asked to check their surveillance camera systems for possible images of the suspect vehicle.
