SFPD Nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back Day, Saturday, 4/27/13
The SFPD, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and other local law enforcement agencies will be part of a nationwide prescription drug “Take Back” day on, Saturday, April 27, 2013 at all San Francisco Police district police stations.
This event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is free, anonymous and no questions will be asked. There will be collection containers for prescription pills that are expired, unused and unwanted. We ask for no identifying information and plastic bags will be available at each site if needed.
Please start preparing now and look through your medicine cabinets.
WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING LIQUID MEDICATIONS, INTRA-VENOUS SOLUTIONS, NEEDLES, INHALERS OR PATCH STYLE MEDICATIONS. ILLICIT SUBSTANCES SUCH AS METHAMPHETAMINE, MARIJUANA, ETC ARE NOT PART OF THIS INITIATIVE.
