SFPD Make Arrest in Hit and Run Traffic Collision

On April 2, 2014 at approximately 5:40PM, a traffic collision occurred in the area of Fell Street and Scott Street. In this incident, the suspect driver fled the scene after colliding with a parked vehicle, a building, and three cyclists. Two cyclists were treated and released at the scene with non-life threatening injuries. The third cyclist was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with life threatening injuries, sustaining a fractured pelvis, compact fracture of an arm, and a lacerated liver. The suspect vehicle was recovered shortly after in South San Francisco, CA.

During the course of the investigation, Bianca Lopez, a 25 year old resident of Fremont, CA, was determined to be the suspect responsible. An arrest warrant was issued and Lopez surrendered in San Francisco at 850 Bryant Street on April 24, 2015. Lopez has been booked at San Francisco County Jail for felony hit and run causing injury, misdemeanor hit and run involving property damage, and for driving without a license. Her bail is listed at $100,000.
