SFPD Make Arrest in Central District Homicide 18-167

On Sunday April 15th, 2018 at 4:57 AM, San Francisco Police officers responded to Joice Alley regarding a possible deceased person. Officers found the victim, 49 year-old San Francisco resident Quang Troung laying on the ground suffering from multiple head injuries. San Francisco Fire Department paramedics responded and rendered aid but unfortunately Mr. Troung succumbed to his injuries.

SFPD Homicide investigators commenced an investigation that led to the identity of the suspect. On Saturday November 30th, 2018 at 4:00 PM, investigators responded to the San Francisco County Jail and arrested 59 year-old San Francisco resident Samuel Youmtoub for the homicide of Quang Troung. Youmtoub was being held at San Francisco County Jail for unrelated criminal charges. Youmtoub’s booking photo accompanies this news release.
