SFPD, community and labor organizations host 7th annual ‘Chinatown Night Out’ event on Wednesday, Sept. 8 026-21
The San Francisco Police Department’s Central District Station, in coordination with community and labor organizations, will host the 7th annual Chinatown Night Out event on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Chinatown Night Out, modeled after National Night Out, was established in 2014 to engage with San Francisco’s monolingual Chinese-speaking communities to build long-lasting partnerships between police and the residents they are sworn to protect and serve. Multiple SFPD units will take part in the celebration, which is free and open to the public and will include food and entertainment. Attendees will be able to access resources and information on crime prevention strategies relating to hate crimes and hate-motivated incidents, robberies, burglaries, blessing scams, cell phone theft, security cameras, personal safety, and more.
