SFPD Arrests Suspects Involved in a Robbery in the Central 25-008

On Friday, January 17, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a victim arrived at Central Station to file a report regarding a robbery that just occurred on the 1200 block of Grant Ave.

Officers discovered that the victim was standing outside when a vehicle drove next to her belongings that were placed on a bench. The suspect passenger grabbed the victim’s belongings, and the victim attempted to retrieve them. As the victim attempted to stop the vehicle, the suspect driver struck the victim. The victim continued to try and retrieve her property before the vehicle fled the scene.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of the incident.

Through the course of the investigation, officers identified the vehicle involved in the incident.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and detained two suspects matching the description provided near the area of 5th and Mission Streets.

Officers located and seized all the victim’s stolen property which was returned to the victim.

Officers developed probable cause to arrest 38-year-old Calvin Fries and 34-year-old Alexa Landa.

Fries and Landa were booked into San Francisco County Jail for the following charges: robbery (211 PC), conspiracy (182 PC), receiving stolen property (496(a) PC), possession of fake ID (470(b) PC), theft of credit card (484e PC) and multiple warrants.
