SFPD Arrests Narcotics Trafficking Suspects 24-134
Nearly 1,900 grams of Fentanyl seized
Over the past month, members of the SFPD Narcotics Unit conducted an investigation of a suspected narcotics trafficker. The investigation revealed that the suspect actively sells narcotics in the Tenderloin District. The Narcotics Unit officers developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the suspect, the suspect’s vehicle, and the residence which is located in Oakland, California.
On November 5, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m. SFPD officers observed the suspect leave Oakland and arrive in San Francisco where he was detained on the 900 block of Market St. The officers served the search warrant for his person. Officers discovered that the suspect was in possession of suspected Fentanyl and items related to dealing drugs. The officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for narcotics trafficking.
The SFPD Narcotics Unit served the search warrant on the 1100 block of 16th St. in Oakland, CA. During the search officers located and seized additional fentanyl, ammunition, US currency, and items used for narcotics trafficking and manufacturing narcotics. During the search warrant service officers developed probable cause to arrest two additional suspects. Officers seized a total of 4.18 lbs. of Fentanyl.
The first suspect, identified as 20-year-old male, Marvin Izaguirre Varela was transported to San Francisco County Jail and was booked for the violations of sales of controlled substance possession for sale (Fentanyl), transporting a controlled substance, maintaining a premise where narcotics are manufactured/stored, and conspiracy.
The two other suspects who were arrested in Oakland were 21-year-old male Emilson Benega Ramos and 18-year-old male Cesar Gutierrez Doblado. Both Benega Ramos and Gutierrez Doblado were transported to Santa Rita Jail where they were booked for possession for sale (Fentanyl), maintaining a premise where narcotics are manufactured/stored, and conspiracy.
