SFPD Arrest Suspect in SOMA Homicide
On Friday, May 16th, The San Francisco Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit arrested Michael Green for a homicide that occurred at Sixth and Jessie Streets last year in November. Green was arrested in Florida with the assistance of the Miami Police Department and Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Michael Green shot two victims after a minor traffic collision occurred in a parking lot at Sixth and Jessie Streets. The incident occurred on an early Sunday morning as clubs were closing for the night. Green shot and killed the passenger in the vehicle and wounded the driver. Green has been wanted by San Francisco Police since November. We want to thank the Miami Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for their assistance with this case.
Green will be extradited to San Francisco and booked on murder and attempted murder charges. Green is 24 years old and resident of San Mateo.
