SFPD Arrest Suspect in Golden Gate Park Shooting from June 18

On July 7, 2013 San Francisco Police investigators from the Park Station plain clothes operations executed a search warrant on the unit block of Hollywood Court in San Francisco. This was in connection to a shooting which took place on June 18, 2014 in Golden Gate Park.

Taken into custody was Randy Baldwin, 31 years of age, San Francisco resident. He was booked into San Francisco County jail on possession of a stolen concealed firearm, possession for sales of methamphetamine, possession of stolen property, carrying a dirk or dagger and assault with a firearm. Baldwin also had several outstanding traffic warrants.

This stemmed from a shooting which occurred on June 18th, 2014 at approximately 6:35P.M. when a victim was shot in the leg inside Golden Gate Park. The suspect fled the scene and Park Station investigators began a thorough investigation. Through investigative leads, police were able to identify the suspect.  A search warrant was obtained which lead to his capture.
