SFPD Arrest Serial Robber and Burglar

On July 13th, San Francisco Police arrested the suspect believed to have committed multiple burglaries and robberies in Chinatown and Japantown.  The suspect was identified as German Woods, 57 years old, a San Francisco resident.  Woods was identified as the suspect in these crimes through investigative leads.

Woods was believed to be targeting members of the Asian community who were elderly.  Investigators believe he has been committing these crimes at least as far back as April.  There have been multiple reports of robberies and burglaries believed to have been committed by Woods.  He was booked into San Francisco County jail on multiple robbery, burglary and elder abuse charges.  He was also booked on an outstanding warrant for similar charges.  A booking photo of Woods is attached.
