SFPD Arrest Bomb Threat Suspect (17-079)

On May 8, 2017 and May 16, 2017, San Francisco Police received notifications regarding bomb threat voicemail messages targeting LePort Montessori School at 50 Fell Street in San Francisco. No detonating devices were located during a search of the school.

An investigation was initiated by the Special Investigations Division which led to the identification and arrest of Pablo Munoz, a 22 year-old South San Francisco resident working as a LePort Montessori School assistant teacher. On May 19, 2017, Munoz was located at the school and taken into custody without incident. Munoz was booked into San Francisco County Jail on two counts of felony threats and two counts of misdemeanor false reporting of a bomb. A booking photo accompanies this news release.

Although an arrest has been made, anyone with additional information is urged to contact the SFPD anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444, or text a tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the beginning of the message.
