SFPD Arrest Attempted Homicide Suspect 19-037

On Saturday February 24, 2019, a male victim was shot and critically injured near the corner of Vallejo Street and Pollard Street in San Francisco.  Witnesses told police that they heard a gunshot and saw the victim laying in the street with a gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to a hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition.

The San Francisco Police Department Night Investigation Unit began an investigation into the attempted murder of the victim. On March 14th, 2019, San Francisco Police served search warrants at two locations. The searches resulted in the arrest of 30 year-old San Francisco resident Nicholas Mar.  Mar was booked at San Francisco County Jail for attempted murder and firearms violations.
