San Francisco Police Seeking Public's Assistance in Locating Hit and Run Vehicle for Fatal Collision 21-126

On Friday, May 28, 2021, at approximately 9:22 p.m., officers from Mission Station responded to the area of 16th and Folsom Streets regarding a person who had been hit by a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and observed an injured female being treated by medics and transported her to the hospital. A witness who heard a vehicle flee the area, which may have been involved in a collision, saw the victim laying on the ground and called 911. The victim, a 72-year-old San Francisco resident, Ms. Christine Reed sustained life-threatening injuries and remained hospitalized. On Friday, June 25, 2021, Ms. Reed succumbed to her injuries despite the lifesaving efforts of the medical staff.
