San Francisco Police Investigating Pedestrian Fatality 21-016
On Tuesday January 19, 2020 at approximately 8:32 PM, San Francisco Police officers from Mission Station responded to the area of San Jose Avenue and 24th Street for a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Officers arrived and located an 85-year-old male victim in the roadway. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of Toyota Corolla involved in the collision, a 52-year-old male, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and/or impairment do not appear to be a factor.
On Saturday January 23, 2021, the pedestrian died at a local hospital.
The SFPD Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TCIU) is investigating the incident.
