San Francisco Police Investigating Outer Sunset Homicide 22-020

On February 10, 2022, at approximately 12:52 a.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to the 4600 block of Irving Street regarding a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene who transported the victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting suspect fled the scene in a vehicle after an exchange of gunfire with the victim. Approximately 20 minutes later, officers received a report of a shooting victim in a stationary vehicle on Great Highway near Skyline Boulevard. Officers arrived on scene at Great Highway and located the vehicle and the male suspect suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene, but despite life-saving efforts, the male succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on scene. The preliminary investigation determined that the suspect drove from Irving Street after suffering a gunshot wound and succumbed to his injuries on Great Highway.
