San Francisco Police Investigate New Year’s Eve Homicide 21-001

On Friday, December 31, 2021, at approximately 9:32 p.m., San Francisco Police officers from Richmond Station responded to the 200 block of Cornwall Street for a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located a 24-year-old male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where, despite the efforts of the medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries.

This investigation is being led by the SFPD Homicide Detail. No arrests have been made.
