San Francisco Police Arrests Homicide Suspect 20-138

On February 3, 2020, at approximately 9:50 AM, San Francisco Police officers responded to Geary and Larkin Streets regarding an assault. Officers determined that the victim, 69-year-old San Francisco resident, Henry Kemp had been thrown onto the sidewalk as he was exiting a Muni coach. Witnesses reported that Kemp was involved in an altercation with another passenger on the bus prior to the assault. Kemp was transported to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFGH).

Kemp remained hospitalized at ZSFGH and died on March 8, 2020.

The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (SFOCME) conducted an autopsy and ruled his death a homicide as a result of the injuries sustained in the February 3rd assault.

The SFPD Homicide Detail assumed the investigation.

Through the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified and an arrest warrant was obtained for 38-year-old Dominic Green of Piedmont.

On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, Green was located in Piedmont, California by members of the SFPD Homicide Detail and Special Investigations Division. Green was taken into custody by members of the SFPD Tactical Unit and was booked on a warrant for manslaughter at the San Francisco County Jail.
