San Francisco Police Arrest Ingleside District Homicide Suspect 23-008(a)

On January 22, 2023, at approximately 2:22 p.m., San Francisco Police Officers assigned to Ingleside Station responded to the 300 block of La Grande Ave on a report of a shooting.  When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene.  Despite the lifesaving efforts of the emergency responders, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

Investigators from the San Francisco Police Homicide Detail have led the investigation. Through the course of their investigation, investigators identified 36-year-old Elmer Daniel Flores Buezo of San Francisco as a suspect involved in the homicide. Investigators developed probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Buezo and search warrants for his residence and vehicle.  

On March 23, 2023, at approximately 5:00 a.m., investigators from the SFPD Homicide Detail, SFPD Tactical Unit, and SFPD Specialist Unit, served a search warrant on the 600 block of Persia Street. During the search warrant service, investigators located Buezo and evidence related to the investigation. Buezo was placed into custody for his arrest warrant on scene. 

Buezo was booked into San Francisco County Jail for a charge of murder (187(a) PC), firearm enhancement (12022.53(d) PC), carry a firearm in a vehicle (25400(a)(1) PC), and criminal threats (422 PC).
