San Francisco Police Arrest Homicide Suspect

On May 30, 2016, at approximately 2:54 AM, San Francisco Police responded to the 600 block of Alabama Street in the Mission District on reports of a person that was shot. When officers arrived to the scene they found a female victim, later identified as Tiara Williamson, laying on the sidewalk with several gunshot wounds. The San Francisco Fire Department and Paramedics responded and rendered aid, but Williamson tragically succumbed to her wounds shortly after being transported to a local hospital.

The SFPD Homicide Detail and Special Investigations Division developed leads which led them to the identification of a suspect, 28 year old San Francisco resident, Luis Barrios-Ixolin. On August 31, 2016, Barrios-Ixolin was taken into custody on the unit block of Reardon Court in the Bayview District without incident. Barrios-Ixolin was subsequently booked into San Francisco County Jail for the murder of Williamson. Due to pending identification matters, his booking photo will not be released at this time.

Although there has been an arrest made, investigators are asking anyone with information on this case to contact the San Francisco Police anonymously at 415-575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411 with SFPD at the start of the message.
