Auto break-ins are down across the city from last year. Several factors linked to the improvement are more highly visible Foot-beat Officers and the city wide Park Smart program.

Tips to discourage break-ins:

Hide your valuables before you arrive at your destination. Lock valuables, including electronics, in the truck out of site.

Take valuables with you. Take your wallet, phone, purse, etc. with you and don’t leave them visible in the car.

Lock your vehicle and take the keys with you. Don’t leave vehicles running unattended. Lock your doors and windows every time.
