Mission Station - Citizen of the Month - December 2017

Meet Christopher Totah. The 28 year, who is known by neighbors as Chris, opened Zaytoon Mediterranean at 1136 Valencia St. seven years ago and has been running the business ever since: Chris was born and raised in San Francisco and felt the Mission District was a good place for him to start a business. When talking about the Mission and what he likes, he said, "I like the people, the food, and the atmosphere.. you got people from all over the world coming to the Mission. I enjoy the 22nd Street farmers market, it's a nice event that brings the community together." When Chris is not running his business, he spends time with his family and his fiancé, who together are planning a wedding for next summer.
