Mental Health Detention

Officers were dispatched regarding an individual swinging a knife in the air. During the interaction the subject appeared disoriented and unable to make reasonable statements, and officers believed that the subject displayed an altered mental status. Officers requested an ambulance to the scene. During the detention the subject attempted to attack one of the Officers on the scene. King America medic 13 transported subject to SFGH. Subject was cited and released.
