Ingleside - Officer of the Month - August 2018

Ofc. Luis Tillan #331 is an 18-year veteran of the San Francisco Police Department who is currently assigned to Ingleside Station’s Day Watch. For the past several months, Ofc. Tillan has been assigned in a patrol capacity under the auspices of the Healthy Streets Operations Center. He has been collaboratively working with DPW, DPH, the HOT team, and other community/government partners on the front-line of assisting homeless throughout the Ingleside and resolving encampments. Ofc. Tillan is extremely responsive to the Ingleside community’s emails/calls and has worked diligently in some of the most difficult locations and conditions (like under the Highland and Richland bridges). His greatest attribute is his heart, where he demonstrates genuine care and compassion for those that he encounters, including going above and beyond to connect them with resources that empower. Visible change in our community’s quality of life has occurred because of him. For all that he does and will continue to do, he is recognized as our Featured Officer of the Month.
